260km (Optional 160km)

Saturday 9th of June

We make our way through troll’s territory, although very few have seen one.

Along the road

Dalsnibba (Geirander Skywalk)

Europe`s highest fjordview from a road, with the spectacular platform, Geiranger Skywalk – a guaranteed airy experience. Quite possibly the world’s finest view – 1500 m above sea level.

Ørnevegen (Eagle Road)

Eagle Road is the name given to the steepest stretch of road up the mountain side from Geiranger towards Eidsdal on road no. 53. The road opened in September 1955 and gave the village Geiranger year-round road access.

Trollstigen (The Trolls Road)

One of the most famous National Tourist Routes, Trollstigen (“The Trolls Road”) is a visual feast. If you see it from the right height and angle, you can feel the view hit you in your stomach.

Trollveggen (Trolls Wall)

The Romsdalen valley is long and narrow with majestic towering mountains on either side. Trollveggen is Europe’s tallest vertical, overhanging rock face. Scandinavian rock climbing started in the Romsdal Alps, which boast some of the world’s most difficult climbs. On the opposite side of the valley, the Romsdalshorn peak towers to a height of 1,555 metres.

Høvringen

Destination of the day is Høvringen, where we will sleep in old cabins up on the mountain.

Note: The below map might show a slightly different rout than the one we actually ride..
